The VE.Direct TX digital output cable is designed for lighting applications in solar energy systems, such as the BlueSolar and SmartSolar MPPT75/15 and MPPT 100/15.
The VE.Direct TX digital output cable can be used in combination with the BlueSolar and SmartSolar MPPT battery chargers.
This cable is required for the following applications:
Lighting applications
The cable is designed for lighting applications in solar energy systems. The ability to dim lighting, if necessary, significantly reduces energy consumption. Lower energy consumption reduces overall system costs. The availability of lighting also increases, even with a partially charged battery when there is little sun. The cable connects the TX output of the VE.Direct plug of an MPPT battery charger to the PWM dimmer input of the LED driver.
Virtual output voltage
The cable is designed to add voltage output functionality to the larger MPPT chargers (MPPT 100/30 and larger) that do not have voltage output. The cable connects the TX output of the VE.Direct plug of an MPPT battery charger to battery protection or solid state relay to switch the voltage on or off.
