The Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/20 12/24/48V solar charger collects energy from your solar panels and stores it in your batteries. Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/20 12/24/48V is a solar charger for 12V, 24V and 48V systems (autoselect). The maximum nominal PV power that is passed through the solar charger at a 12V system voltage is 290W, and at a 24V system voltage it is 580W, and at a 48V system voltage it is 1160W. The maximum PV no-load voltage of this solar charger is 100V. The SmartSolar solar charge controllers have a programmable battery charging algorithm, and built-in standard Bluetooth Smart to set up the solar charger and monitor solar yield.

BatteryLife: intelligent battery management
If a solar charge controller cannot fully charge the battery in one day, the result is often that the battery fluctuates continuously between 'partially charged' and 'fully discharged'. This condition (not a regular full charge) will destroy a lead-acid battery within weeks or months. The BatteryLife algorithm monitors the state of charge of the battery and, if necessary, slightly increases the load disconnect level from day to day (by disconnecting the load earlier) until the harvested solar energy is sufficient to charge the battery to almost 100%. to charge. From then on, the load disconnect level is modulated so that the battery is charged to nearly 100% about once a week.

Programmable battery charging algorithm
Every morning, as soon as the sun starts to shine, the charge controller starts a new charge cycle based on a three-step charge process: Bulk – Absorption – Float. The battery charging algorithm is programmable with a set of default settings or user-defined settings.

Internal temperature sensor
Compensates absorption and float charge voltages for temperature.

Output
A deep discharge of the battery can be prevented by connecting all loads to the load output. The load output disconnects the load when the battery is discharged to a preset voltage. (48V model: interface with a relay) Alternatively, the BatteryLife intelligent battery management algorithm can be chosen. The load output can be configured via Bluetooth or via VE.Direct and is short circuit proof.

Day/night timing and light dimming option
The Streetlight function allows you to automatically control night lighting, timing and dimming option. When the Streetlights function is enabled, a timer program can be created using 'sunset' and 'sunrise' as anchor points for the timer program. The advantage of this is that the program adapts to the duration of the night as it changes with the season.
