A MultiPlus with ESS (Energy Storage System) function
The MultiPlus-II is a multifunctional device with an inverter and charger. It combines all the functions of the MultiPlus with an external current sensor. This extends the PowerControl and PowerAssist functions to 50A and 100A, respectively.
The MultiPlus-II is ideal for professional marine applications, yachts, vehicles, and onshore and off-grid applications. The device features a built-in anti-islanding function and is receiving approval for ESS applications in an increasing number of countries. Several different system configurations are possible. Further information can be found in the ESS Design & Configuration manual. We would be happy to advise you personally on grid approvals and the appropriate system configuration for your project.

PowerControl and PowerAssist – increasing grid or generator power
A maximum mains or generator current can be set. The MultiPlus-II then takes other connected AC consumers into account and only uses the current that is still "left over" to charge the battery. This prevents the generator or mains connection from being overloaded (PowerControl function).
The PowerAssist function adds a new dimension to the PowerControl principle: load peaks often only occur for a limited period of time. In such a case, the MultiPlus-II immediately compensates for insufficient generator, shore power or mains power using energy from the battery. If the load is reduced, i.e. consumers are switched off, the then sufficient energy available can be used to recharge the batteries.

Solar power: alternating current even in the event of a power failure
The MultiPlus-II can be used in grid-connected PV systems, off-grid PV systems, and other alternative energy systems. It can be used with both solar charge controllers and grid-tied inverters.

Two AC outputs
The main output ensures uninterrupted operation. In the event of a grid failure or an interruption in shore/generator power, the MultiPlus-II takes over power supply to the connected loads. The switchover occurs so quickly (<20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices is guaranteed.

The second AC output only supplies power when AC power is available at the MultiPlus-II's input. Loads that should not drain the battery—such as a water heater—can be connected to this output.

Virtually unlimited power through parallel (not for 8k and 10k models) and three-phase operation
Up to six Multis can be connected in parallel for high power requirements. For example, six 48/5000/70 units provide 25 kW/30 kVA output power with 420 A charging capacity.
In addition to parallel connection, three units of the same model can also be configured for a three-phase output. But that's not all: by connecting up to six sets of three units in parallel, you can obtain 75 kW/90 kVA of inverter power or 1200 A of charging current.

On-site system configuration, monitoring and control
All settings can be changed in minutes using the VEConfigure software (requires a computer or laptop and an MK3 USB interface ).
Several monitoring and control options are available: Cerbo GX , Color Control GX , laptop, computer, Bluetooth (with the optional VE.Bus Smart Dongle ), battery monitor , and Digital Multi Control Panel .

Remote configuration and monitoring
Install a Cerbo GX or other GX products to connect to the internet.
Operating data can be stored and viewed free of charge on our VRM (Victron Remote Management) website. Once connected to the internet, systems can be accessed remotely and all settings can be changed.
